Single purpose
Play checkers / draughts from the Chrome toolbar popup and sync with HappyPuzzle. Nothing else.
Talks only to our site
API and socket traffic go to HappyPuzzle hosts. The extension does not scrape or modify other websites.
Local + server data
chrome.storage keeps session tokens and UI prefs; ranked play uses the same server account as the site.
No selling data
We do not sell your gameplay or account data. No third-party ad SDKs inside the extension.

1. Overview and single purpose
Checkers Online is a Chrome extension whose single purpose is to let you play draughts from the browser toolbar and optionally sync with your HappyPuzzle account.
This policy applies to the extension published at https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/checkers-online/kofpjedebkccdeooklpnoekdlboknamg. Site-wide practices are also covered by the HappyPuzzle privacy policy.
2. Local data on your device
The extension may store session tokens, UI preferences (theme, sound), and in-progress game hints in chrome.storage so the popup can resume quickly.
- Auth / guest JWT for API calls

3. Server data when you play online
When you are signed in (or playing as a guest), the extension talks to HappyPuzzle APIs and sockets the same way the website does: matchmaking, ratings, and game history live on our servers.
4. Permissions
The packaged extension requests only what it needs for this purpose:
- storage - local prefs and session
- alarms - optional background refresh of session state
- Host permission for HappyPuzzle origins - API and sockets
- externally_connectable - optional handoff between site and extension
5. No remote code
Gameplay JavaScript is bundled in the package reviewed by the Chrome Web Store. The extension does not download and execute remote scripts.
6. Third parties
No advertising or analytics SDKs ship inside the extension popup. Google sign-in (when used) follows Google’s OAuth flow on our site origins.
7. Limited Use
Use of Chrome API data adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including Limited Use: data is not sold, not used for unrelated purposes, and not used for creditworthiness.
8. Retention
Local storage is cleared when you uninstall. Server account data follows HappyPuzzle account retention and deletion practices.
9. Children
The extension is not directed at children under 13. Do not create accounts for children under 13.
10. Changes
We may update this policy when the extension’s data practices change. The date below reflects the latest revision.
